It is ran by two motors of 1000 horsepower each, with three additional supporting aggregates.

All decks are covered with 6-centimetre thick teakwood of top quality.

On the ship there are two salons: one admiral’s and one officer's salon.

Originally it had 32 cabins with 52 beds.

All highest-ranking navy officers in the former Yugoslavia served on the Vis. Every time the Galeb was outside the Adriatic or when it was being repaired, the Vis would become the commander-in-chief's ship.
